About Smudge

I absolutely love the making process and being creative. Choosing colours schemes and making products that I truly love and want to share with others. Something else that I am passionate about is making the business as eco-friendly as possible with all packaging being recyclable and biodegradable creating as little waste as possible.

Smudge creates a range of Terrazzo homeware items, including coasters, soap dishes and photo stands. I started creating these products in October last year after returning from Leeds where I studied Knitwear Design at the University of Leeds.

In the midst of a pandemic unsure of what to do next I decided to take on a new creative challenge and start a business – and so Smudge Creations was born.

All products are casted, sanded and sealed by myself at my home in Norfolk in a shed in my grandparents garden. All products are created using a sustainable material called Jesmonite.

It is considered sustainable due to its responsible manufacturing process and that it is a non toxic water based material.
